Super Eagles assistant captain William Troost-Ekong says he has missed representing the national team and also his national teammates.

The Udinese defending took to his social media handle to express his frustration, but he’s optimistic they will be back in action sooner than expected.

“Missing this feeling! I can’t wait to be back with my brothers! 🇳🇬 🦅 #Naija #SuperEagles #AFCON #Throwback” he tweeted.

Football activities all over the world suspended indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, although some clubs are gradually returning to training in a bid to be ready for resumption.

However, a date for the return of international matches is still unknown as various football governing bodies are still waiting for direction from the government.
