Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo says he is delighted to make a winning debut for Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray.
The Nigeria international was introduced in the second half of Galatasaray 2 – 0 win over league champions Istanbul Basaksehir on Sunday.
Etebo replaced Sofiane Feghouli in the 71st minutes for his action on the colours of the Turkish giant and it was Radamel Falcao and Younes Belhanda who scored the goal that gave Galatasaray the maximum points.
After the match, Etebo said he was proud to make a winning start to his career at the club and happy to play his part in the victory.
“Excited to be part of this great victory and we keep going.. thanks to the supporting fans ✊ @Galatasaray’s,” he said in a post on his social media.
It would be recalled that Etebo signed for Galatasaray on a season-long loan from English side Stoke City.
