News Oyo confirms new case of coronavirus

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has confirmed the State recorded one case of COVID-19 on Friday.

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Monday announced that the State has recorded another case of coronavirus.

Makinde, who doubles as Chairman of the COVID-19 task force in the State, made this announcement via series of tweets on his Twitter handle Monday evening.

He said that the new case is a patient from Ibadan South West local government area of the State.

Makinde added that with the new case, the State now has 65 cases of coronavirus.

“The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back positive. The case is from Ibadan South West Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 pm today, is sixty-five.

“We are also renovating the 10-bed isolation centre at Agbami Chest Centre, Jericho.
