News Liverpool assure Premier League they’ll field strongest team in fixtures

Liverpool were forced to apologise as the Premier League club ditched their controversial plan to furlough non-playing staff during the coronavirus on Monday, while FIFA urged players and clubs to reach agreement over wage reductions.

Liverpool will not field a weakened team in the remaining Premier League games.

The Reds are likely to wrap up the title within one or two matchdays when play resumes.

But the club are not going to impact the integrity of the league by playing reserves for the remaining fixtures.

The club have reportedly assured the Premier League that Jurgen Klopp will select the players who are fit and in the best form for all games.

The Reds are out of the Champions League and FA Cup, so they have no other competitions to think about should play resume.

The league is still in discussions to figure out how the season would resume during the COVID-19 outbreak.
