Antonio Conte has revealed he will not tolerate one of his Chelsea players disrespecting him or the team, insisting he would rather ‘kill’ that player than have him in
The Chelsea manager is currently preparing his players for the visit of Liverpool on Friday night and Conte has explained how important respect is when it comes to
forming a winning side.
Conte has guided Chelsea to an excellent start to the season, dropping just two points in four Premier League games, but the Italian insisted he can only do that under
‘From my experience as a footballer, I think this is the right way to manage a changing room,’ Conte told Sky Sports when asked about his strict management style.
‘I think that when I start a season, I speak with my players and I always talk about education and respect.
‘And I demand this, but I give this.
‘And if someone does not have a good attitude during the training session, or good behaviour in a different circumstances, I prefer to kill him than have 22 players.
‘Because I repeat, from my experience as a footballer, if a manager closes his eyes, he does not want to see the bad situation and he loses the changing room.’
Chelsea welcome Liverpool to Stamford Bridge hoping to bounce back from their 2-2 draw with Swansea in their last league outing.
